ABOUT
Binôche is built on the meeting point of cultures: Belgian design sensibility, and Italian craftsmanship. It started with a simple belief that your glasses should be designed with the same care as the things you choose to keep.
The company is as strong as the people who represent it. We’re a small team, but a versatile one. Every frame passes through many hands before it reaches yours: designers, makers, and people who simply care about getting the details right. That’s not a scale we’re working toward changing, it’s the reason the work stays personal.
CRAFTMANSHIP
A good design earns its shape twice. First on paper, then again at the workbench, in the hands of someone who’s done this for years.
Every material choice comes with a reason nobody sees on the outside. Thicker acetate because it holds its shape longer. Five hinges instead of three, for a stronger bond between front and temple. A coated screw because the smallest part shouldn’t be the first to fail. None of it changes how a frame looks in a photo. All of it changes how it feels five years in.
MANUFACTURING
Our production runs through two family-owned workshops, now in the hands of their second generation. That’s not a coincidence, and it’s not something a machine could replicate. The colour process alone takes years to learn, hand-applied, tested, corrected, applied again, until it holds. Located in the Dolomites, high enough that the snow never fully clears. Both our metal and acetate collection are made with the same passion, dedication, and precision. Different materials, same hands, same standard.
We don’t dress up the process to make it sound better than it is. We show what matters and let it speak. That’s Binôche.
