Antwerp Fashion Festival. Under the Same Sky

Posted in
“We look all day. But do we actually see?”

That question sat at the centre of Under the Same Sky, the installation binôche built to mark its thirtieth anniversary during Antwerp Fashion Festival 2026. Not a product presentation. A space, built to make people stop and notice how they look, and what shapes the way they do.

The installation came together with 22A Gallery, under the artistic direction of curator Luis Manuel Lambrechts, alongside four Belgian artists: Alessandra Ruyten, Bram Vanderbeke, Nina Minnebo, and Arto Cornelis. Each brought a different visual language into the space, stillness and material, poetry, identity, human connection.

The partnership between binôche and 22A Gallery started from a shared belief in beauty, slowness, and authenticity. Under the same sky became more than a theme. It became an invitation to notice what connects people, regardless of background or discipline, a meeting point between fashion and art, object and emotion, makers and the people looking at their work. The new sunglasses collection ran through the entire space, never centred, always present.

“Under the Same Sky starts with a simple question: what do we actually see when we look?” says Gino Gommers, founder of binôche. “That question draws a direct line between the artists’ work and what we’ve been making for thirty years: objects that guide the way people look.”

For four days, from June 4th to 7th, the installation stood open on the Oudaan, part of the route through the city. No ticket. No entry barrier. Just walk in, and look a little differently than you did the rest of the day.
